That revision feeling

I think I’m starting to make some reasonable progress with ED209 revision now. Chunks of sensation to perception, the identity chapters, executive function and ToM are now floating around in my brain and every so often surface – sometimes at inappropriate moments! But that’s good – it’s that revision feeling, and I was beginning to panic that it just wasn’t going to happen this time.

I’ve spent this morning’s train journey from Derby to London with the Erika Cox notes for sensation to perception and I now have this vision of elephants (Fantz) testing new born babies with pictures to see what they can discriminate. I really hope a question on that chapter turns up on the 21st now!

I’m still struggling a bit with the seen question. My original draft answer was far too long to replicate in under an hour so I spent a fair chunk of Saturday’s train journey to Exeter re-focussing it. I’m happier with it now, if not quite ecstatic yet. Another session later on this week is definitely required.

Right, time to put the blackberry away and fight my way through the ticket barriers at St. Pancras in a few moments. After the ED209 exam is behind me, I’m going to have a rant on here about the idiocy of the manner in which they’ve been implemented at Derby station, supplemented by some Freedom of Information data I’m going to ask for. But, for the moment, the working week calls.
